Orpha Biotech has received seed investment from CDP Venture Capital – National Innovation Fund of Italy’s “Italy Venture II – Southern Italy Business Fund.” The fund aims to support outstanding startups that have their legal and operational headquarters in Southern Italy in order to realize the valuable innovation potential that lies within this region.

CDP Venture Capital is an investment management company with approximately € 1 billion of assets under management. It aims to make venture capital a cornerstone of the country’s economic growth and its support for innovation, and to create the conditions needed for the sustainable growth of the venture capital ecosystem.
